Step 1) Please measure inside dimension to the slot side(ID), as well as the inside dimension without any ribs or slot(OD)

Step 2) Please measure the dimension of motor bracket tab to make sure it can be insert into our roller motor head( Dimension: 0.354 inch/9mm)

Fix the crown, adapter on the motor if necessary, and put the motor into the tube,

DIY Blind Motor: How to measure Aluminum Roller Tube Size

We recommend aluminum tubing as a good choice for the roller material, although you can use cardboard, plastic and steel tubing if it suits your purpose. You can also DIY and change the other size of the shade tube.

You can use any type of tubing for your blinds, the only critical dimension is the ID (inside diameter) because this is what the drive adapter has to fit inside, (if a current fit doesn’t suffice, you can drill a hole and insert a screw to lock it).
